Marketing, Communications & Digital Content Manager

HomeCareersMarketing, Communications...

About the company

Golborn Services Limited is a GovTech company focused on accelerating digital transformation across Nigeria's public sector. We develop and deploy innovative technology solutions that improve institutional efficiency, strengthen public service delivery and enable data-driven decision-making.

As we expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced, creative and results-driven Marketing, Communications & Digital Content Manager to strengthen our brand presence, build institutional credibility and position Golborn as a recognised voice in government technology and digital transformation.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional marketing and communications professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on content creation and digital marketing expertise.

The successful candidate will develop and execute Golborn's marketing and communications strategy, strengthen our online presence, lead thought-leadership initiatives and create compelling content that showcases our expertise, solutions, partnerships and institutional engagements.

A significant part of this role involves accompanying our executive team to high-level government meetings, conferences, partnership engagements and industry events. You will capture relevant photographs and videos, identify compelling stories and transform these engagements into professional content that builds brand awareness, trust and institutional credibility.

You will also manage our website and social media content, develop executive thought-leadership articles, coordinate corporate communications and execute digital campaigns that support our commercial objectives.

This is both a strategic and hands-on role. We need someone who can develop a marketing strategy, write an insightful article, capture content at an executive event and manage a digital campaign from concept to execution.

Key responsibilities

1. Marketing and communications strategy

  • Develop and implement an integrated marketing, communications, and digital content strategy aligned with the company's commercial objectives.
  • Develop annual marketing plans, quarterly priorities, and monthly content calendars.
  • Establish clear brand positioning and consistent messaging across Golborn's target markets.
  • Develop targeted communications strategies for federal and state government institutions, technology partners, development organizations and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand awareness, institutional credibility, and market visibility.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer and Business Development team to align marketing activities with commercial priorities.
  • Develop marketing campaigns to support product launches, strategic partnerships, new solutions, and other business initiatives.
  • Establish measurable marketing objectives and regularly evaluate campaign performance.

2. Executive engagement and event content

  • Accompany the CEO, CCO and other designated executives for government meetings, conferences, project visits, partnership engagements and industry events.
  • Identify newsworthy developments and relevant content opportunities during executive engagements.
  • Capture high-quality photographs, short videos, interviews, and other relevant content.
  • Develop compelling stories around Golborn's engagements, initiatives, partnerships, and achievements.
  • Produce timely event highlights, photo stories, short-form videos, and executive engagement updates.
  • Prepare post-event communications for the company website and social media platforms.
  • Coordinate professional photographers, videographers, and other creative specialists for major events when required.
  • Ensure all event-related content complies with applicable confidentiality requirements, government protocols and internal approval procedures.
  • Obtain appropriate approvals before publishing photographs, meeting details or statements involving government officials and institutional partners.

3. Digital content creation and social media management

  • Develop, write and publish engaging content across Golborn's digital platforms, particularly LinkedIn and the company's website.
  • Create compelling social media posts, graphics, short-form videos, infographics, and other digital assets.
  • Manage the company's social media accounts, publishing schedules, and audience engagement.
  • Translate complex technology concepts into accessible, engaging, and informative content.
  • Develop content highlighting Golborn's solutions, expertise, project milestones and institutional engagements.
  • Maintain a consistent brand of voice, visual identity, and messaging across all digital platforms.
  • Monitor relevant industry conversations and identify opportunities for meaningful engagement.
  • Track digital content performance and continuously refine content strategies based on audience insights.

4. Thought leadership and executive positioning

  • Develop and implement a thought-leadership strategy that positions Golborn and its executives as knowledgeable voices in GovTech and public-sector digital transformation.
  • Work closely with the CEO, CCO, CTO, and other subject-matter experts to identify relevant industry topics and develop original insights.
  • Research and write articles, executive commentary and industry perspectives on subjects such as digital public infrastructure, AI in government, enterprise technology, data-driven governance and digital service delivery.
  • Develop thought-leadership content for the company website, LinkedIn, and other relevant professional platforms.
  • Support the development of executive LinkedIn profiles and professional online visibility.
  • Identify opportunities for executive participation in relevant conferences, webinars, panel discussions, interviews, and industry publications.
  • Transform technical expertise, research findings, and institutional experiences into engaging content for target audiences.
  • Establish a consistent editorial calendar for executive and corporate thought leadership.

5. Website content and digital marketing

  • Manage the development, publication, and periodic review of content on the Golborn website.
  • Ensure the website accurately communicates the company's capabilities, solutions, expertise and strategic positioning.
  • Develop website articles, case studies, project highlights, company announcements and solution-focused content.
  • Apply search engine optimisation principles to improve the visibility of relevant website content.
  • Coordinate with website developers and other technical specialists to implement content updates and improvements.
  • Develop targeted digital marketing campaigns that support brand awareness and commercial objectives.
  • Monitor website traffic, audience behaviour, search performance and digital engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to convert relevant online interest into qualified business enquiries.

6. Corporate communications and public relations

  • Develop and maintain Golborn's corporate communications materials, including company profiles, press releases, executive biographies, newsletters and corporate announcements.
  • Prepare communications relating to approved strategic partnerships, project milestones, product launches and significant company developments.
  • Support media engagement and identify appropriate opportunities for industry and corporate publicity.
  • Maintain relationships with relevant media professionals, industry publications and communications partners.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in all external communications.
  • Support the development of internal communications where required.
  • Establish appropriate communications review and approval procedures.
  • Monitor Golborn's public-facing reputation and identify emerging communications risks.

7. Brand management and creative direction

  • Develop and maintain consistent branding across the company's digital and corporate communications.
  • Oversee the visual quality of marketing materials, social media graphics, corporate publications and promotional assets.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines, content templates and a central library of approved creative assets.
  • Collaborate with the Proposals & Business Solutions Manager to ensure consistent branding across commercial proposals and executive presentations.
  • Coordinate external graphic designers, photographers, videographers and other creative service providers when required.
  • Ensure marketing and communications materials reflect the company's professional positioning and target audience.

8. Marketing performance and reporting

  • Establish measurable KPIs for brand awareness, digital engagement, content performance and marketing-generated business enquiries.
  • Monitor website analytics, social media performance and relevant audience growth.
  • Track content engagement among target institutional and professional audiences.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain a marketing activity calendar and report on completed and upcoming initiatives.
  • Prepare monthly marketing performance reports for the Chief Commercial Officer.
  • Manage the approved marketing budget and coordinate external creative resources.
  • Monitor competitor communications, emerging industry trends and opportunities to strengthen Golborn's market positioning.
