About the company

Golborn Services Limited is a GovTech company focused on accelerating digital transformation across Nigeria's public sector. We develop and deploy innovative technology solutions that improve institutional efficiency, strengthen public service delivery and enable data-driven decision-making. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a highly analytical, strategically minded and execution-focused professional to support the Chief Executive Officer in driving the company's strategic priorities and operational performance.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional Technical Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer who can combine strategic thinking, business analysis, technology literacy and project coordination to support executive decision-making and organisational execution. The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO to coordinate strategic initiatives, monitor business performance, prepare executive-level reports and presentations, and ensure effective follow-through on key management decisions. You will serve as an important coordination point between the CEO and the company's commercial, technical, finance and corporate services functions. This is not a conventional administrative or personal assistant role. It requires a professional who can independently analyse complex business issues, conduct research, develop strategic recommendations and coordinate high-priority initiatives. We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in management consulting, technology consulting, corporate strategy, business analysis, project management or executive advisory.

Key responsibilities

1. Strategic planning and executive support

  • Support the CEO in developing, communicating and executing the company's strategic priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable implementation plans, milestones and performance indicators.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Prepare strategic briefs, executive presentations, business cases and decision papers.
  • Coordinate strategic planning sessions, executive workshops and management reviews.
  • Maintain a structured register of the CEO's strategic priorities, decisions and assigned actions.
  • Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives and identify execution risks, delays and dependencies.

2. Business analysis and performance monitoring

  • Consolidate and analyse business performance reports from Commercial, Technology, Finance and Corporate Services.
  • Develop executive dashboards, management reporting templates and performance scorecards.
  • Monitor departmental performance against approved business objectives and identify operational gaps.
  • Prepare periodic business performance summaries and executive management reports.
  • Conduct business analysis, feasibility assessments and financial reviews to support strategic decisions.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend opportunities for improvement.
  • Support management in evaluating business performance, resource allocation and organisational effectiveness.

3. Technology and digital transformation

  • Conduct research on emerging GovTech trends, digital public infrastructure, enterprise technology and public-sector digital transformation opportunities.
  • Support the CEO in evaluating strategic technology initiatives, product opportunities and potential technology partnerships.
  • Work closely with the CTO and technical teams to monitor strategic technology projects and product development milestones.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear executive-level briefs and presentations.
  • Support the preparation of technology concept papers, solution briefs and presentations for government and institutional stakeholders.
  • Research relevant government digital transformation programmes, technology policies and emerging market opportunities.
  • Monitor the progress of strategic technology initiatives and highlight issues requiring executive attention.

4. Strategic project coordination and execution

  • Coordinate high-priority projects and special assignments delegated by the CEO.
  • Develop project implementation plans, milestone trackers, action registers and progress reports.
  • Monitor the execution of strategic initiatives across departments.
  • Follow up with responsible teams to ensure timely completion of agreed deliverables.
  • Identify project risks, cross-functional dependencies and execution bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate collaboration between departmental heads on initiatives requiring executive coordination.
  • Prepare consolidated project status reports and escalate critical issues to the CEO.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions and operational improvement initiatives.

5. Executive stakeholder and partnership coordination

  • Support the CEO in coordinating relationships with strategic partners, government institutions, technology partners and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct background research and prepare briefing notes ahead of high-level executive engagements.
  • Develop presentations, executive summaries and supporting materials for strategic meetings.
  • Coordinate internal preparation for partnership discussions and institutional engagements.
  • Document strategic meeting outcomes, agreed commitments and assigned responsibilities.
  • Follow up with relevant departments to ensure timely implementation of agreed actions.
  • Support the coordination and monitoring of strategic partnerships and joint initiatives.

6. Corporate governance and executive reporting

  • Support the preparation of board presentations, management reports and executive performance updates.
  • Coordinate the collection and consolidation of information required for management and board-level reviews.
  • Track the implementation of relevant management and board decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of strategic decisions, assigned responsibilities and implementation deadlines.
  • Work with departmental heads to ensure executive reports are accurate, timely and complete.
  • Handle sensitive commercial, operational and strategic information with appropriate confidentiality and discretion.

7. Executive office coordination

  • Manage the CEO's strategic action register and monitor progress on delegated assignments.
  • Coordinate information flow between the CEO and departmental heads.
  • Support the prioritisation of matters requiring executive attention.
  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials and action summaries for key management meetings.
  • Ensure management decisions and commitments are documented and tracked.
  • Undertake special projects and strategic assignments as directed by the CEO.

Essential requirements
